Steppe in Time

These boots are victorian, perhaps,
but there is a look, in fact,
that provides a "muse" of sorts
for renderings of flower vases.

The vases, of course, are most beloved
and do represent, I'd say,
gentility and rapport,
a time now gone, with slower pacings.

The pearls, too, are elegant, indeed,
from Daddy to Mom, a gift,
timeless as his pocket watch:
both fodder for future creating.

History echos in our lives now!
